Cloud governance is a general term for applying specific policies or principles to the use of cloud computing services. The goal of cloud governance is to secure applications and data when they are located remotely. Cloud governance is also sometimes viewed as an extension of SOA governance, although the unique properties of a public cloud architecture such as multi-tenancy present different slightly different concerns. Ideally, cloud governance complements or is integrated into existing governance processes and is viewed as an ongoing process, not a product.
